We walked in and read the sign to seat ourselves. A server behind the country greeted us. No one else said anything. In the main seating area, a party of 4 had just left and there was another table for 4 that was open. As it was just us two, we chose a table for two up the steps and sat down. And we waited. And waited. A party of 3 came in about 5 minutes after we did. They were immediately asked if they wished to sit inside or out, shown to a table, given menus and drink orders taken... while we waited.
The food was amazing! Best Club Sandwich ever
Maybe, if this woman was the owner, she simply forgot that it's the locals who keep them in business when the tourists leave.
A few more minutes went by when a woman in a long white dress (owner??) walked behind us to deliver food to another table. As she walked back, she asked if anyone had spoken to us yet. (Not, "have you ordered drinks?", but a condescending tone "spoken to") and then she immediately says, "We can get you Mimosas, Wine, coffee, tea but it will be at least 40 minutes before food would be delivered as the kitchen is backed up." She didn't ask or even allow us to ask if the special was available (Farmhouse Quiche) and would it be faster. Nor did anyone tell the other table the same thing.
This a must stop spot!!!! The food is amazing! Everyone in our party loved their food choices. I got the Garden Benny which was out of this world! They did a substitution for me to accommodate my Vegan diet and I was blown away with how tasty my meal was! So so thankful for businesses like this. Worth each penny and the service is top notch.
We are locals and when possible we try to support our local businesses year round. Not just in the summer with the tourists. My hubby and I decided to try to have a nice brunch and The Farmhouse is one of our favorites. The food is always excellent, and usually very friendly service.
We go regularly on Sunday and occasionally for lunch. Food is always good and staff friendly and welcoming. A nice place to eat and enjoy friends.
Fantastic restaurant, definitely my new favorite. Delicious breakfast and lunch with perfect portions. Genuinely happy and upbeat service! Attentive too. Good coffee. Can be quite busy in the summertime as you'd expect, otherwise very relaxed and friendly. Local ingredients, liquor license, yum.
